FAQs
What types of genealogy or heritage research do you provide?
I conduct research up to 3-4 generations where records are available (more if I can!), including archive and parish records, family tracing, town identification, document translation, and historical context.
How does the collaboration process work?
I work through you, the advisor. You send over your client’s basic background and known ancestry in an inquiry request form, and I handle the rest. However, some advisors prefer to be the sole point of contact, while others invite me to join client calls or present findings together. I’m flexible and can act as a behind-the-scenes researcher, a co-presenter, or anything in between. Whether you want full ownership or shared collaboration, I’m here to support you as a true partner.
What does the genealogy package include?
A digital report with sources, family tree placements, town identification, translations (if needed), cultural context, a custom-written and curated itinerary suggestions based on my findings.
Do you handle booking or travel logistics?
No. I provide the research and customized itinerary framework. You retain control of all bookings, logistics, and travel management.
Can I get a sample of the Family Narrative or itinerary?
Yes — there is a full sample available on our Services page.
What destinations can you research or design for?
I currently specialize in heritage travel connected to Europe, Latin America, and U.S. migratory routes. If your client has roots in other regions, I’m happy to discuss and assess record availability.
What if there are gaps in the client’s family records?
I do my best to locate all available records, but I will always be transparent about limitations. If a full lineage isn’t available, I still provide historical context and regional insights to guide a meaningful journey.
How long does research or itinerary creation take?
Most genealogy research and custom itinerary designs are completed within 2–3 weeks from the time I receive your client’s details and signed approval.
If the project requires more in-depth archival research, translation, or complex family tracing, I’ll provide an updated timeline before work begins — but most standard projects are delivered within this timeframe.
Do you require a deposit?
Yes. After an initial inquiry examination and signed approval, I request a 50% deposit to begin research, with the balance due upon delivery of the project.
When does billing begin?
Research and itinerary work begins after:
Your initial inquiry request is received
Scope of work is confirmed
A signed agreement and deposit are received
This ensures transparency, reduces scope changes, and respects your workflow as the advisor.
